Train to Bangkok tonight
Last pictures of Koh lanta:
Me on a the scooter ran told about last time:
And yes ran doesn't know that if you take a picture of a scooter that the scooter has to be in it to. Nice view on the scooter, touring around the island.
Ran next to a thai guy, so you can see the difference between their lenghts.I'm a normal thai size, ran can't even stand in the bus.And yes I thought this picture was funny, ran didn't know I was taking it.
At night I saw a nice sunset (I haven't seen many in my life, but I'm trying to see them a lot here)
The rocks showed up after 3 o clock or so. Then you couldn't swim anymore, but swimming in the morning was very good.
Ran fed up with all those cats in our room: Cat fed up with randy:
I've never seen a cat look that cranky before!
Hello everyone! :)
Last time I said we would go island hopping here in pretty Thailand. But after Ko phi phi we decided that it was enough.
When we arrived on a boat from Koh Lanta to Ko phi phi we planned to stay for 1 week so that we could get a discount. 50 baht a day discount!
We stayed in a lovely chalet, very small with only a matrass on the floor. That was it! :D but there was a hanging mat so we could talk on the porch-thing at night.
Here's a picture of the chalet: (it is a pic of the one opposite of ours because we had much sun on ours and I couldn't make a good picture)
Lovely right?
After a couple of hours on ko phi phi we saw more white people then we had seen in the last few months.
Phi phi is a sort of thai Salou. You get the point right? All white girls and boys only wearing bathing clothes, or dresses that are way too short. At night all drunk and having fun.
We didn't have fun because the island was very expensive and we didn't have the money to go out and drink something at the beach party. But we enjoyed the music the whole week until 6 o clock in the morning. Yawn yawn. (I'm glad we're off that island with the music bumping in your ears all night haha, I even tried ear pluggs, they didn't work)
But hey it was very fun for us at night, to sit before a supermarket and watch all the people acting funny.
There was also an old white guy who was drunk every day. One night he fell before our eyes and dropped his bucket(like the bucket kids play with on the beach but they fill it with alcohol here) and was all sad about it. Then he passed out.
Lots of people passed by were very concerned. After a while he got 3 bottles of water and 1 bottle of energy drink.
We thought it was funny that everyone looked at him like watching a monkey. Then a girl came to him and tried to feed him a banana. I laughed so hard! Everyone was looking. Who will think of feeding a passed out drunk guy a banana? So stupid!
After that 3 guys went on the picture with him. Then we left. It was an enjoyable night haha. Next day the guy was walking around drunk again. Still alive yes.
(wasting his life)
The last day we went to climb to the View Point. We suddenly realised how much of an exercise that was and how bad we are in shape haha.
When we finally were on top the view was very nice. You could sit on the rocks and just look at the islands.
Ko phi phi are twin islands. We stayed until sunset. Gorgeous! Although the sun was behind the hill it was very pretty with all the colors.
I was kind of glad that we left Ko phi phi after 1 week. I'm sure it would have been nicer if we had the money to party and drink like all the others. There we totally no backpackers.
We went to Krabi.I think we stayed there for 3 days? Very nice hotel, with hot shower in our room.
There we went to the Tiger cave tempel. It was a nice place, all buddhist and filled with monks. When we entered the cave we got a cookie to eat and a bracelet. We had to donate for it though. But that is very normal here if you visit a tempel. You can't make pictures of buddha's. So I didn't make any picture in the tempel.
After walking a while we found another cave. Very fun to walk through. No one was there so we could explore everything.
(picture of the nice walking on stairs, both sweaty and tired)
There also was a 100 year old tree. It was only big on the beginning. then looked like a normal tree. We weren't very impressed.
Oh yeah I also took a picture of the monk's laundry.
(they even had a washing machine, mobile phones and 2 women(dressed in white monks clothes) took pictures of each other with the tree, modelling)
After Krabi we went to Surat Thani, because we've decided to spend christmas and new year in Bangkok!!! Busy and nice!!
Tonight we take a night train to Bangkok. 2nd class with fan. We leave at 18:22 and arrive at 6:00. We're both hoping that we have a nice sort of bed, so we won't be too exhausted when they try to scam us again on the train station in Bangkok.
Next blog I will tell more about Bangkok and how it is there! I'm very excited!
Much love
